The two-time Grammy Award-winning Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra has a rich history of engaging the world’s finest conductors and musicians. The Pittsburgh Symphony will be performing Arturo Marquez’s Danzón No. 2, one of the most popular Mexican contemporary classical music compositions, Mendelssohn’s Concerto in E minor for Violin and Orchestra, Opus 64, which will feature Augustin Hadelich on violin, and Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances, Opus 45. Austrian conductor Manfred Honeck is one of the world’s leading conductors. His distinctive and revelatory interpretations have received international acclaim.
