Poison, considered by many to be the definitive hair band of the '80s, performed in front of a sold-out crowd of 10,500 fans at the WVU Coliseum March 2, 1991. The band–Bret Michaels, Rikki Rockett, C.C. Deville and Bobby Dall–opened their show with "Look What the Cat Dragged In" on a stage draped with two large American flags. Lead singer Michaels' signature flamboyance was center stage as the band rocked the arena with their hits: "Your Momma Don't Dance," "Nothin' but a Good Time" and "Unskinny Bop."

Michaels was so happy with the size of crowd that he had a cameraman film the audience from the stage, telling the fans they were going to be in the band's next video. The arena lit up with the flames of lighters when the band dedicated "Something to Believe In" to the U.S. troops stationed in the Persian Gulf. Poison ended their show with an encore performance of "Talk Dirty to Me" that earned them a standing ovation. See the entire set list from the show here.

Slaughter, a relatively new group at the time of the show, wowed the crowd with their hits "Spend My Life" and "Stick it to Ya" and their ballad "Fly to the Angels" elicited a synchronized wave from the audience.
