The Go-Go's and Flock of Seagulls entertained 7,200 fans at the 1982 Homecoming
concert in the WVU Coliseum.
"Morgantown really hit the big time last Sunday night," wrote "The Daily Mail's" Kelly King in a review of the show. "The Go-Go's, one of the biggest acts in popular music today and the only all-female to rise to the top of 'Billboard' magazine's charts with their single 'My Lips are Sealed,' had them dancing up a storm at the WVU Coliseum." Mini-dresses and black, red and purple make-up were the top fashion choices among the concert goers. Fans await the start of the 1983 Homecoming concert. From The Monticola. Diane Tennant of 'The Dominion Post' reported that the "Coliseum floor was a bobbing mass of dancers throughout both acts, and the all-female Go-Go's managed to get the seated spectators dancing in the aisles with their Top 40 hits 'Vacation' and "My Lips are Sealed'." |
