SHOW DATE: Thursday, April 10, 2014 • 7:30pm

When former Hootie & the Blowfish front man turned country superstar Darius Rucker brought his True Believers tour to Morgantown in 2014, he was greeted by 5,000 enthusiastic fans who had spent the hours prior to the show tailgating in the Coliseum parking lot.

Rucker opened his set with "Radio," his newest single at the time of the show, and then moved into his country hits, including "Alright" and "Come Back Song."

He also entertained the audience with a story about his first performance in Morgantown when he was the lead singer of Hootie & the Blowfish, telling fans that the band had played "Time" in the middle of campus and only about five people stopped to listen. He also performed Hootie & the Blowfish favorites “Let Her Cry,” “Only Wanna Be With You” and “Hold My Hand."

Rucker invited opening acts Corey Smith and Eli Young Band to perform with him on the Hank Williams Jr hit "Family Tradition" before closing the show with his hugely popular version of "Wagon Wheel" and Prince's "Purple Rain."
