When Boston took the stage at the Coliseum in January 1979, they had two
platinum albums to their credit. Some 11,500 fans packed the arena to hear
their signature hits "More Than a Feeling" and "Don't Look Back."
The crowd could not get enough of guitarist Tom Scholz. And the band performed several encores before leaving the stage for the final time. According to the Monticola staff, opening act Sammy Hagar thrilled the crowd with his musicianship. The average ticket price for the 1979 concert was $6. |
