Alabama is undeniably the most successful country band of the 1980s. They made their second appearance at the WVU Coliseum in as many years on September 14, 1984. They played a two-hour show with no opening act before a near capacity crowd of nearly 12, 500 fans. Jeff Cook, the band's guitarist, wore a University t-shirt and the Monticola reported that the band replaced "Alabama" with "West Virginia" in five songs. |
