About the Show
n their first US tour in 25 years, the Israel Ballet presents Don Quixote in celebration of the 400th anniversary of the publication of the first part of Miguel de Cervantes novel “Don Quixote de la Mancha.” This exciting production of the most colorful of classical ballets tells the story of the knight errant who fought the windmills during his quest to find the lady of his dreams—Dulcinea. The Israel Ballet is the only company in Israel performing the great classical and neo-classical ballets of the international repertoire. The company is comprised of dancers from all over the world, among them native Israelis, new immigrants from the former Soviet Union and guests who have been selected by audition. Don Quixote is an exciting experience of classical dance, accompanied by rousing music and with colorful costumes—all set against a video enhanced backdrop. All this adds up to an unforgettable evening of classical ballet with a Spanish flair. Olé!
