About the Event
Canadian Brass is Chuck Daellenbach (tuba); Christopher Coletti and Brandon Ridenour (trumpets); Achilles Liarmakopoulos (trombone); and Eric Reed (horn). The Washington Post raves, “These are the men who put brass music on the map with their unbeatable blend of virtuosity, spontaneity and humor.” The internationally renowned Canadian Brass are masters of concert presentations with consummate imagination and musicianship. From formal classical concerts to music served up with lively dialogue and theatrical effects, Canadian Brass has developed a uniquely engaging stage presence and rapport with audiences. Audiences will enjoy brass standards as well as a wide-ranging repertoire of original arrangements created specifically for the group, including works of Renaissance and Baroque masters, classical pieces, marches, ragtime, Dixieland, big band, Broadway and popular standards. Canadian Brass has appeared as guest artists on “John Williams: Evening at Pops,” The Boston Pops, Beverly Sills' Music Around the World, numerous PBS specials and even “Sesame Street.” The Plain Dealer proclaims “One need not be partial to brass, or even to classical music, to love Canadian Brass!”
