About the Event

Led by critically-acclaimed conductor Pavel Kogan, the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra has become one of the most respected ensembles in Russia—and throughout the world. Over the last two decades, the MSSO, known for its large scale composer retrospectives, has steadily expanded its repertoire beyond traditional Russian classics. Their repertoire includes compositions from abroad, including Scott Joplin, Schoenberg, Bernstein and Bartok. Kogan, the 1997 recipient of the National Prize of the Russian Federation, and the MSSO have toured extensively, performing in some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world.
