Rookie cop Denny Colt returns from the beyond as The Spirit, a hero whose mission is to fight against the bad forces from the shadows of Central City. He is tracking down a crime syndicate who seek to release a substance that will leave the citizens in suspended animation. Filmed in black and white with distinctive splashes of red, this film is based on the 1940s comic book by Will Eisner.
